On Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May we are running a prayer room at the Hub (9b Piermark Drive, Albany). This coincides with Pentecost Sunday on Sunday 24th May.

 

This year’s theme for our prayer room is Blessing in the Waiting. The prayer room will be a dedicated and sacred space to wait on God—a place to slow down, listen, and engage with God in a focused way. While we can pray anywhere, anytime, this room is designed to help us pray with greater intention, creativity, and depth.

 

Prayer slots are available at 30-minute intervals. You can book one on your own, with a friend, your family, your life group, or whoever! Choose one slot, or several—either back-to-back or at different times across the weekend. Note that this year, we are allowing two individuals to book the same time slot as there is plenty of space. The hub will also have hosts on site through the weekend, to ensure it is a safe and secure space. These hosts are available to pray with you if you wish.

We are also engaging in a shared daily devotional journey leading up to the prayer room weekend, from 1st May. The devotional is called How to Pray: Transform Your Prayer Life and is available on the YouVersion app. If you join through the Shore group, you will see others from our church doing the plan at the same time, and have the opportunity to comment, or see others’ comments, as you go.
